This is Spring House, brought out in 1990, and not sold very many places at all. It was given to me by a lady who said she had never seen it bloom and had no idea what it was. I planted it and two years later I had one stalk; now 8 years & 2 divisions, here they are. They are tall, strong, double-budded in each pod, have large 6" tall flowers. The coloration is gorgeous and changes as the light moves. They have grown so much I need to divide them again and am full of angst because I have no more beds to put them in [the other beds are overgrown & need dividing too.] This bed was divided 3 years ago and there was only 1 rhizome and the old mother in the bed, but she popped out babies and here I am. I am just sharing this lovely iris with fellow iris lovers because I love her so much.[and we need all the good we can get right now!]
