Linda, no, the iris were there for many years when I put an Ivory Coast in a big pot in the middle of them two years ago and it did so well I just planted it in the same spot. When planted the yellow's were not in bloom. There are more iris around it with different colors opening later. I would like to take credit for the composition but I can't. Mother Nature (or dumb luck) takes the credit on this one. - Jon

ourSteelers, It looks nice all day but heading toward sunset it glows. I have 3 new ones and they all have that color. The soil, location, dumb luck? - Jon

Lovely. Would like to see them when they turn white though out the season. Not sure if mine is still around or if my maple tree has killed it. I had to dig out a whole area where that tree is . Everything went from big to hardly alive. Moved them last year and had to pull out3 wheel barrows of fine maple roots. Just like hair on a dog

Not white, but paler. Maples are tough, my sieboldiana 'Elegans' is tougher.
