Weird. I wonder if it will plump up a bit as it grows. I just got a kerii about two months ago. So far it is putting out only one tiny new leaf. I'll keep an eye on it to see what it does.

My variegated one tends to do that...not sure why!

Thx for your comment. May I pls ask if you're suggesting it may be or you're pretty sure (ish)?

Once you mentioned that, I went back I looked further & I see older leaves on the same branch which have odd marks on the back. I didn't take pix yet after I noticed it, but suggests you may be right, bummer!

On another note, a happier one, I snipped an H pubicalyx branch out of the way & found more oddly shaped leaves. But I think it's just wacky shapes as mentioned above.

While I didn't plan it this way, it ended up a lovely little mallot cutting, which water rooted very quickly.
