Is this physically broken? I'm unsure where the jump start comment is going as the ignition module isn't in the crank circuit. Someone smarter than me would have to tell you how to control the spark plus whatever else this module does. There are these cheapo aftermarket modules that will replace the single cylinder from Rotary.

My experience with these is rather to clean the terminals at the module, coils, switch, regulator etc. and it many times works out. Best of luck.
