Exterior refresh - need your help!

We’re looking to update the exterior of our split-level home. We’re in the Midwest and neighborhood is a solid variety of MCM, colonial and ranches and in a wide range of building materials. We lean more modern and clean/simple and love painted white brick, which is one of our top contenders, however, we are open to all of your design thoughts including changes to paint and doors and windows, as well as enhancements to siding/brick materials. We’ve attempted to use some design apps without much luck. Please feel free to pass along your creative ideas; we are looking forward to your thoughts as we venture down this road!

Lovely home. I would start by taking off the shutters which don't fit your windows. Would you consider replacing the bay window?

I would take out the yews that are blocking the windows on both sides. Just the ones in front of the windows. Try to prune them in a more relaxed natural shape. Using hand pruners and hand hedgers helps. The PJ hydrangea, light green bushes, the hostas, and the Japanese Maple are all beautiful.

Paint the storm door red.

That's about all I would do.

Beautiful home!

Remove shutters, maybe widen frames around windows with brick molding.....a new door with a side light would help balance all the windows.

White is a winner color for the exterior of homes now also possibly where we living, in west, dark colors are still strong....navy blues, charcoal, black. Something that will work with the roof....

The roof looks grey?, so a white home with black trim to give the farmhouse vibe could look very nice.....then modern door with horizontal reeded glass and a reeded sidelight to add witdth could work.
