Tips for planting up a propagated fig leaf tree

last modified: 6 years ago

I've recently propagated a cutting from my fiddle leaf fig and it looks like it's probably time to plant it up.

I'm looking for tips on which soil to use for a fresh cutting and also on the size of my cutting? Specifically:

- Soil: should I use a 5-1-1 mix or go with something like 40% potting mix, 40% bark fines, 20% perlite? What would work better for FLF?

- The root system doesn't look very big but it has stopped growing. Do I have too many leaves for that root system? Should I remove one or two?

Thanks!
