That's a botched job. 2 weeks??? That pool should have been shot in one day. Fire the pool builder.

If there is a guarantee offered, get it in writing. Just sounds like lip service. Take plenty of pics and document everything.

If I was called to look into finishing this job, I would not even take it. I could not give any guarantees as I have no idea if the previous builder followed any good practices.

I would remove that pool and start over again.

"Shooting" the bowl is done in one continuous operation, it cannot be done piece-meal. Also, the spacing of the re-bar looks far too big. ALL of it has to be removed. Follow the Pro advice given by Mystic. So sorry this happened to you.

Some large or complex projects can be shot over a few days time. There are ways to prep what was shot, so as to accept a shot a later time. Some vanishing edge pools are shot this way. The main pool and then the catch basin. It's absolutely acceptable provided it's prepped properly.

We have added benches or steps to old existing concrete pools without a problem. It's all about the prep work.

This pool however, is not large or complex. It should have been shot in one day.

We built a commercial pool about 8+ years ago that was 40'x75'. 200 yards of gunite used. Done in one day.

I too am sorry this has happened.
