scrapbook paper weight

I am looking to buy some scrapbook page paper that is a good weight to use to create a photo album of those old rather small vintage snapshots from around mid century. I want to mount the old snaps onto a nice sturdy page using photo corners, like they used to do before the plastic pages came about.

I don't know anything about scrapbooking and am looking (online) at different weights of papers and it looks like a paper at about 80 lbs sounds about like a page that will hold up to having a few photos mounted to either side and some holes punched to fit in the binder.

You who know more about this probably have a better idea.

What do you think?

I would like for it to a Kraft paper or a black paper. The old snapshots are all black and white. If not Kraft paper, maybe one that has a nice light gray color. 80lb? maybe? 100lb?

I have a pile of old snaps that are at least 70 years old and came out of a baby book where they were mounted with photo corners onto a black paper that looked almost like a heavy construction paper. So, I guess something that is somewhat that weight of a heavy construction paper?

Preferably it will not tear easily. The old baby book did not have binder rings in it. The pages were held by screws between two sturdy strips. I don't know what you call that type of album. I think that just a three ring binder not allow the paper too much room to get pulled and have it tear.
