Updating small atrium

We have an open-air interior atrium in the middle of our home. It’s the first thing a visitor sees when entering(or standing at) the front door. It has 2 sliding glass doors and 2 interior walls (with a window over the kitchen sink). We are waiting on a quote from a local glass company to change the main slider(facing the front door) to a non-opening glass window and to replace the side slider with a new slider. As well as replace the kitchen window. Our dilemma is 2 things. 1.) we hate the rock walls but can’t agree on how to change them. 2.) We want something that looks like a deck floor but don’t want to spend another fortune for the materials of building the joists for a deck. The floor is partially concrete and dirt. There is a drain located in front of that Buddha statue but we aren’t sure where it leads out to. We need a floor that is weather proof and is low profile that can be installed over the dirt floor. Preferably a material that looks like wood decking. I’m leaning towards a zen like theme so wood decking would lend a nice zen atmosphere. Traditional decking installation will bring the floor up to above the door. And cannot be installed on the ground. The square wood tiles require concrete of a finished floor to install over. Concrete won’t allow the drainage required for this space.

Any suggestions for a new wall covering and/or new flooring for our atrium is very much appreciated.
