We use a variety of fixtures and lamps specific to the application. I say that to say, the lamps we use come in different beam spreads and wattages, and now that we are using LEDs, color temps. This system was installed in 2008. We were using halogen lamps at that time, but would have converted them to LED as they went out over the past year or two. So, the lamps we used in this picture are no longer available. I can tell you there are two fixtures shining up on each dormer.

I did see there are two fixtures for each dormer. do you know the lumens for each fixture? I'm wondering how low you had to get them to keep from over lighting.

I asked the designer of that system and he said today he would use 4W 2700K 60 or 120 degree beam spread MR16 lamps. Because it is lighting white dormers, may even go 3000K to bring out the white. That would be 325 to 350 lumens. Originally those would have been the 20W 60 degree (most likely) halogen lamp.
