Need help with fence repair

The post of our fence are rotted. They are old dimensional redwood. not set in concrete. Just sandwiched between concrete at the edge of a curb cut on the property line.
I removed the boards on our side and would like help for the best way to rebuild with horizontal boards.

Here are some ideas I had.




  1. Remove the old post and pour concrete under old post in a tube. set a new post base in concrete.
  2. Remove old post. Add Post base, wedge anchored into old concrete near old post.
  3. Same as above but add backfill concrete below.

4 . Remove old post, Use old post location, put new pressure treated post, set in concrete.
