Basement decor/design dilemma

Hi! Any ideas of what I could do in the little nook area of our newly renovated basement? It is behind a sectional couch in the TV area. We used to have 2 sitting chairs and a table there. I can do that again- but the chairs hardly got used before. Maybe a bench with coat hooks above? Like in a mudroom- so guests can leave their items there when they come in. Or is that odd in a basement? Other ideas?? Thank you!!

Bookcases would be great. (But who reads anything anymore other than on a screen?)

Oh man! We have a similar nook and I've been trying to figure out how to put a bar in it!

Why would you need coats hanging there it's not an entryway. etc

Like someone said a reading nook would be nice, bookshelves if you have books, maybe a counter with a small fridge under it, to make drinks, etc.

Looks like you might have a "little" one? If so, what about making this a kids area? Kid size table and chairs with some storage for their toys. And a bean bag for reading.
