Sansevieria Zeylanica Snake Plant

Hello all, I recently got s Sansevieria Zeylanica and would like some advice. I currently have the plant about 5 feet away from a South facing window. The plant has cracks in the foliage. What could have caused this and what are some preventive measures I would be able to take to resolve this for future foliage. Any and all feedback is welcome and greatly appreciated

I think your plant looks in great shape. The area might have been damaged before you got it. Just keep an eye on the area.

I have a sansevieria masoniana with two leaves and one of them is split. I've wondered what, if anything, I should do.

I'm sorry to hear about the split in one of the leaves of your Sansevieria Masoniana. I was reading online that some people suggest misting the leaves in the morning and some suggest not to mist. I'm wondering as well what this could be

Misting succulents is a controversial things. Many believe it's not a good idea, I'm one of them.

I know you didn't ask abt it, but that soil looks too water retaining & may present problems in future. If mine, I'd add at least 50% Perlite (or Pumice) to that soil to ensure proper drainage.
