How large can the root system be?

I would love to buy one, but where can I find a 12’ tall tree for sale in Toronto?

plus... how much would that cost?? I’m not Drake to be able to plant my whole yard with tall trees. Although would have been sweet!

Somewhere in the 6' diameter (or larger) range. And I wasn't suggesting you purchase a 12 footer :-) That would be somewhat cost prohibitive. But smaller trees DO grow!!

If you want faster growth, pick something that grows faster!! Green Giant arborvitaes can put on as much as 3-4' a year and are quite inexpensive as well.

That's 3-4 ft. per year under greenhouse conditions. Anyway what are the details of this view situation? Many asking about screening plantings are thinking in terms of planting over on the side of their lot that is near the unwanted view. And ask therefore about instant tall screens. When trying to block something right in front of that something may not be the smartest way to go about it.
