Curb Appeal help!

Hi everyone,

We are closing on this house next month and I would love any curb appeal advice you might be able to suggest. It's a 1954 colonial. My initial thought was to paint it white and put in new, more substantial black shutters. Any other ideas? I love the interior but the exterior has always looked pretty bland to me.

I agree with you about some of the shutters. Remove the shutters from the bottom floor on the double and triple windows. On the upper floor with the single windows, wider shutters that appear functional, with or without hardware, would really amp up the curb appeal.

Thanks for mocking that up celerygirl!! And I think you're totally right, Denita, we remove the shutters on the bigger, lower windows and beef up the ones on the 2nd story.
