This is our first summer in our new home - it’s a fixer upper that’s been neglected, that we’re putting a lot of love and life into!

I’m zone 5, and have both shade and sun areas. Far left of my home is full shade. Middle area (with largest mulch area) is full sun. Right side is part shade.

I’m happy with the bushes that are there currently, and do not want to change the layout. I also want easy to maintain, and deer resistant. I’ve been doing some research, and am thinking of doing bombshell hydrangeas in the sunny middle area. On the far left, I’m having a hard time deciding. Right now there’s an ivy there we need to rip out.
