Welcome to HOUZZ. WOW, great job with the pictures and measurements. The CAD program really helps. A lot of windows in this tiny room does present a challenge for you. So the windows may need to be ignored when placing your furniture in the room. So let's see what we can come up with that works for you, your husband and child.

Here are some questions.

Is this the only room that your husband can use as an office?

Is this the main family/ TV room?

Will it be the three of you daily?

How many guests do you want to accommodate?

Can this be an office or family room only?

What size will the TV be?

No, we do have an office, he just goes in there sometimes.

This is not the main family room, we have a family room off the kitchen area.

This room is used occasionally, mainly just my husband and I. Sometimes my daughter, but usually just 2 people at a time.

When we have people over, we always end up in the kitchen area, so I don't see this room getting too much use when company is over.

This room is used more in the morning to watch news, catch up on emails. But I see it also for when I want to work. It gets the morning sun.

I think you could do a chaise lounge, or maybe even two, in front of windows, as window seat(s).

And you might also have space for center cocktail table, or ottoman, w/ four chairs. Swivel chairs could work well w/ that arrangement, also.

Great room! I would suggest a reading nook where your round table is. It could be either with chaise lounge or just regular but comfy chairs. You should take advantage of all that beautiful light. Good luck!

what a nice and bright space you have and I really like all the windows... another thought. if the desk is used as a secondary office or a space to have your laptop to look at emails and surf the web, maybe put a desk where the console table is right now.and add a chair for it. idea is to not take up the entire bay window area.withe a desk. then get a chaise to put in the bay window to share with the smaller desk . add the two swivel chairs where the leather oversized chair is. idea is to minimize the use for an office and add more lounge space.

Thank you everyone!! I have never used this before and I am loving all the feedback. I am going to measure out either 4 chairs with cocktail table (someone else had suggested that) and measure out a chaise lounge in front of the window with two swivel chairs facing the couch. I just lose the table. I do like to sit there sometimes to do work or check emails, but I could either get a little table where I have the console or use the office.

It's a beautiful room, but tricky and I want to get it right:)

Your ideas below are great, and you might also consider using a small round table with two or four comfortable armchairs, especially since you like using a table there. The chairs can be pulled around toward the sofa if you have extra people, or they are just comfortable for using at the table.

I know you have already gotten some really great ideas. I would have gotten back to you sooner but my computer has been giving me a hard time. So here are a few 3D pics with some ideas for your consideration. When you said Chaise lounges and sun room, I thought oh yes. What came to mind is Sun room, day room, breakfast room and atrium because it is so filled with light.

In the room you will find:

1. 2 double wide chaise lounges
2. 2 floor lamps
3. One console table with two buffet table lamps for additional lighting
4. One desk in front of the window
5. One comfy swivel desk chair
6. One large framed picture over the fireplace
7. One large area rug in greens
8. One low TV console with one TV, low setting
9. Several plants/or small indoor trees like a small Areca palm tree

Yes, I know, more? Well this is such a great room it is hard not to have fun with it. So here are some more pics for your consideration. This layout depicts a sun room, day room, game room and anything you want room. :-)

In this room you will find:

1. 3 floor lamps
2. 2 chaise/couches (these couches double as a chaise and as a couch). they are the best of both worlds.
3. 4 swivel lounge chairs for the table you already have.
4. One entry table with two buffet table lamps
5. Two or three potted plants for beauty and to make the room feel more like a garden room.
6. Of course one TB on a TV console.
7. A couple of large pictures, 1 over the fireplace and 1 over the entry table. They also help to reflect natural light into the room.
8. Now you just have to add the people :-}

I do love the chaise/couch piece and have been looking for one online, but I'm having trouble finding one I like. Love both of these. However, I just laid out some blue tape and I can't fit a chaise lounge and even 2 swivels. So, I am thinking a chaise plus a table with 2 chairs to sit and work, etc.

That would be wonderful. Admittedly the two chaise lounges are small ones. Your idea sounds great. Please post some pictures when you are done if you get a chance.

I am rebuilding your 3D room to see what went wrong with it.

Can you move your cafe` table up closer to the window? Does that give you more room for furniture? I see where the brown leather chair is in the picture. Will a chaise fit there in it's place as long as it is tucked back closer to the window to the right of the fireplace?

Same thing with the window to the left of the fireplace in place of the 3 seater couch that is there but angled for better viewing of the TV and out of the window? Please let me know. I really want this room to work for you as you hoped it would.

Look for a chaise with a tall back for comfort, but open sides. It will be comfortable without blocking the window and table/chairs behind it. It will also provide bench type seating for several guests when you have others on the sofa.

I figured out what I did wrong with my math and the design. I used chaise lounges that are 4' to 5'11" long and 40" wide that is why they fit into the design so well. I agree it is hard to find a chaise that is both comfortable and attractive. I see that folks have posted a few suggestions for chaise lounges. If you are still considering a chaise lounge for your sun room then you will find some nice ones made by Ashley furniture. Your best bet may be to go with one chaise (as you stated) and the brown chair (that you already have) and add a nice large ottoman to it. Or, two large chairs with ottomans unless you find two shorter chaise lounges that you like; that will fit in your sun room.

How are things going with your beautiful room? I was looking for a small multipurpose couch for my very tiny studio. My husband needs to convert it to a home office space but the space also needs to accommodate guests as well. I found these two couches/chaises and wondered if they may be of interest to you for your sun room.

The reviews say that they are very versatile and comfortable. I like the one (Omak) because the cushion attaches to the frame and can be removed and washed. Also because the cushion comes with the frame. I found others that sold the frame only and the cushion has to be purchased separately. I don't like that idea. The Omak's full length 74" when completely flat and 65" with both arms up to form a couch. It would fit in your sun room without taking up the center floor area. Then there is the Kodiak. I like that one as well and it gets great reviews. The difference is that the Kodiak's cushion does not attach to the frame (but I would figure out a way to attach it) and it is 80" when completely opened. I still like it a lot. I would probably keep one side up to make it a chaise and one side down.

Just an idea for your consideration.
