Help. Is there something wrong with my red oak? This year when it leaved out most of the leaves our branching out very close to the trunk and not on the individual limbs.. When I looked close the limbs have buds but when I snapped one the limb was dry and not green...There is also a crusty green coating on the branches. This is my first oak so not sure if this is normal or if I need to treat it...Thanks in advance....photos in comments
