Wow, Kate, Carnival in Brazil is so luscious today. Pick Up Lines and Golden Breasted Starling are my favorites, I wish those Lambertsons liked my climate more.

Spacecoast Royal Rumble is a beauty, and Pickup Lines is looking grand. I added Pickup Lines last fall, but I don't see any scapes yet. The clump of San Ignacio looks wonderful. Carnival in Brazil has a color combo that appeals to me. With that bit of white edge, I can't help but loving the red Cherokee Beauty.

Lovely group. Catastrophe Waitress looks very good blooming as a trio. I have Carnival In Brazil here but it blooms late July here. Your pic looks stunning and vibrant.

Spacecoast Royal Rumble is an eyecatching dark purple. I like the simple white edge....Ava Gardner is pretty isn't she. Unfortunately for me, as with most of Smith's tempting daylilies, she died out after about 3 years. I hope she likes your warmer zone better......With the lavender theme in mind I really like San Ignacio. What a beautiful little clump shot........Cherokee Beauty has a deep ruby red color and looks luscious. So many nice ones on this post.............Maryl

Thanks to all for comments. Debra, I think you will like Pick Up Lines. It is hard for me to capture the beauty of it-I know you will do a better job of that! And every time I have a red with edge bloom, I think of you and your seedling program with the reds. This is the first year for Cherokee Beauty, a nod to my mother's Cherokee heritage.

Carnival in Brazil gave its best bloom of the season-I walked by and had to backtrack because it was so stunning today. The other blooms were OK but nowhere near this kind of color. I will be interested in seeing how yours looks, Julia. (By the way, I hope your husband is recovering well from surgery.) Catastrophe Waitress has bloomed trios for the past few days. The color in the picture is a little darker than it actually is-this was at 6 in the morning and it is under a tree.

Sherry, I am not sure how well these Lambertsons are doing for me! They are not multiplying very fast! Maryl, I think I have been lucky with Ava Gardner. She has performed well and I am leaving her where she is!!

As Kay has said, they are just exploding in blooms now-every evening when I go out to "put them to bed" I see some I had not noticed earlier.

Golden Breasted Starling , Pick Up Lines and Flight of Orchids are my favorites today. Yes, peak is such an invigorating time! I hate to quit taking photos, how about you? Lovely post, Kate.
