Maybe an Azalea isn't what I want then. I was hoping for something with more bloom time.

What about hydrangeas? Hydrangea paniculata stays in bloom for months and go through some color changes as well.

Or you could use something like a ninebark....doesn't have a very long bloom period but offers some colorful foliage all season.

Are you looking for something that is deciduous or evergreen?

I am more interested in something that blooms for a long period. I do have several hydrangeas on my property. Not impressed with any hydrangeas I've planted so far except for Annabelles. Nothing else seems to bloom on old wood for me, even after numerous overwintering methods, so I just get sparse new blooms. Watching my newly planted (last year) Little Lime to see if its as easy as Annabelle. Maybe I'll just get another one of those for that spot.

My Little Lime is a slow grower and has not exceeded 4 feet but, I think I remember seeing some pics of other Little Limes in the forum that looked slightly wider than 4' so I would assume it may get 5' wide given "enough time".
