I'm off to the hardware store to see if I can find something smaller and then compare the two. What about height? Can it be higher than 36" above the table? It seem so low. The ceiling is 12' at the dining spot but peaks at 16 in the center of the room.

I think the light is pretty cool, it’s pretty open style wise. It will block some of your view when you look that far to the right from the sink but you will have all the rest of the view to see. it also depends on the height of the person looking that way to how much of the view is blocked.

Thanks everyone! Yes. I do plan on moving some pieces. We just moved 12 days ago and it’s chaos. As for the light fixture - the pic shows gold but the one I got is in polished nickel. My island pendants are by Jamie Young and called Vapor Pendants.

ok, it is a pretty light. I just looked at the specs and it doesn't say if its adaptable for a sloped ceiling. you'll have to call someone and check

i'd prob remove either the hutch or the buffet from that spot. (and that buffet lamp)

maybe bring in an area rug w/some white and blue to tie in your island.

If the fixture has no chain or cable it typically CANNOT be installed on a sloped ceiling.

The fixture is sloped ceiling adaptable purchased it through a local lighting store. Have extra downrods and chain to make the slope work!
