i just want to get this off my chest. I notice your duvet cover doesn’t really cover your mattress. I think you probably spent a fair amount of money to buy this item, so it is disappointing, right? It is almost impossible to buy sheets or comforters/quilts that fit anymore. New mattresses are thicker than ever but bedding size has not increased to accommodate this change. I don’t want to buy king size to use on my queen size because they are too big. Does this annoy anyone else? (Brittany your room looks lovely so far, sorry to vent!)

Totally agree with the Comforter comment.

I did buy a king for my queen size mattress and love it! but also had to add a bed skirt, because I wanted the front of the bed to look pretty.

I am not sure if a bed skirt will work with your bed, but I would probably try a larger Coverlet under the beautiful comforter to complete the look.

It beats fighting for the covers at night :-)

I think the size of comforters and coverlets is due to the ”full/queen” combination sizing. Full and queen are NOT the same size so why do manufacturers try to mesh them together? Sorry to hijack your thread Brittany and you have a very pretty room. BTW, I like your ceiling fan. Do you remember where it is from?

@Celery. Visualization, Rendering images Thank you so much for the suggestion to put the mirror over the tall chest of drawers! Found a mirror from pottery barn that I love!! going to also look into 2 paintings to put over the bed.

So, the duvet is actually a king size from pottery barn, I need to fit the insert in it. I plan on folding it to the foot of the bed and then getting a white quilt/coverlet to put over the mattress, and replace the king shams with a grey bolster pillow.
