We have exposed Beam/truss on the front entry of our home we are building. We just had them stained a really nice dark oak (little more red than I wanted but still beautiful). The inside wall colors are super light greige and kitchen cabinets are espresso. you walk in to an open livingroom and kitchen. We are going to put a faux beam the length of the rooms. So my question is...does it matter if that inside beam is a different color? I’m getting mixed advice. My opinion is it doesn’t matter and I want to play off the cabinet color. I hope that all makes sense!!
