did you shear it???

is it evergreen.. did you shear it enough.. to expose fully shaded interior leaves.. to full blinding sun???

has there been any new growth .. and is it growing properly.. without the curling.. in other words.. fully acclimated to sun???

they get treated = what, specifically? Chemical applications? What about the lawn, was that treated with herbicide prior to the start of the curling? With this azalea being the only one that hangs out over the lawn that far?

They've been treated with whatever my lawn guy sprays them with for insects and fertilizer treatment.

It looks like it in my picture, but they are not on the grass or hang over. That's my angle from the back to show the wilt.

Curling up has been associated with herbicide damage. Curling down is more with water translocation (drought, associated fungal wilts, etc.)

Curling now seems very likely to be a result of

and to be drawing attention to the fact that routinely scheduled "whether it needs it or not" chemical applications to home landscapes are undesirable.

thanks everyone. most likely herbicide drift. I will cut off any wilt and keep my finger's crossed. Weve had some heavy rain so hopefully that's been healthy. There is no curl anywhere else but the new growth. Appreciate your knowledge
