How could I make my dorm room look better?

What can I do to make my dorm room look better? Should I rearrange any of the plants/objects I have?

I'm currently waiting on my wall art to arrive, so that isn't an issue. I'm also going to rearrange the lighting, so the string lights that are hanging down on the (right) will be hanging down on the left side near by bed instead.

I originally had my bed against the window, but ended up moving it back because my roommate didn't want to turn his bed around on his side to match mine. Which made it to where his head of the bed was directly behind me when on the computer, which I didn't really like the feeling of someone being able to look over my shoulder. So I moved it back.

New bedding. Something that matches your wall art. Add some decorative pillows. Just two will do. A bigger lamp, and a bigger rug. Cute organization stuff like pen and pencil holders, organizers. etc. you can check out pottery barn teen/dorm for tips as well.

Plants are a great addition :) Have you tried them on your half of the window sill? They make more of an impact when together.

Does your roommate walk on your rug? Can you flip it to run the length of your bed w/o it interfering with your chair?

You could Google "guy dorm" and click on images. That might give you more ideas.
