A few on a beautiful Monday

Our temps got down in the fifties last night and many were slow to open. Here are some of the highlights.

Aaron's Little Whopper always has perfect little blooms.

Hold the Matches decided to poly today. It is a big bloom. The color is off. It was in the shade and I couldn't get the right color even with the white paper trick. The color is more of a light scarlet (not my favorite color).

We don't breed with Pat Garrity anymore (not vigorous or tall enough), but it does provide the standard for what I am looking for in color in the eye.

I know I posted Stoke the Fire earlier, but this was a much nicer bloom. I don't like it when the petals recurve too much.

Seedling Queen for today is (Back Draft X Tet. Rose F. Kennedy or Heman) X (Lavender Oasis X Tet. Rose F. Kennedy.

I wanted to show this seedling also. It is our daughter's seedling Possible Side Effects X Snidely Whiplash)

I forgot to add a couple.

Itsy Bitsy Spider is nocturnal.

Hot Secret is a brightly color small flowered one.

TrueNorth Queen Bee is one we got from a Canadian grower.

Now I'm finished.

I like your seedling PossiblexSnidley. Pretty saturated color. Speaking of saturated colors, Hot Secret is glowing, and I like the yellow on Itsy Bitsy Spider. Being Nocturnal, my slugs (which appeared in droves because of the spring downpours), would love it too.........Maryl

Please post as many photos of Stoke the Fire as you want. I love the looks of that one - especially in today's photo with the petals rolling back a bit. Your daughter's seedling is lovely! It has possible side effects too. LOL

I wonder what the cause of a poly bloom could be . I also wonder why the poly's are not always exactly the same number of petals all the time . Sometimes exactly double sometimes not . . Love the look of that one .

These are nice but Hot Secret is one I'd pick because of the color.
