Surecrete makes a water-based concrete stain called Eco Stain. If your patio has a sealer on it you have to remove that before applying stain, but otherwise it is DIY with a hand-held, pump-up sprayer. Colors can be layered over either a wet or dry application. A sealer should be applied to the finished stain to minimize fading.
