I did a dumb thing with my maidenhair fern.

I had fungus gnats and figured I could just let the top inch or so of soil dry out to kill off some of the eggs/larvae. Unfortunately I also fried my fern in the process and it has so many crispy leaves now.

Some of the fronds still look ok about halfway down and in toward the middle. Will it survive? Do I need to remove the crispy fronds/leaves or is that just going to kill it more? Help! :(
