I know, but no label anymore. I went back out to look closely and I see there are tiny buds, they just look like little yellow bumps...does that make it better or worse?

Can you post photos? There is no way we can tell what might be going on just from your verbal description :-)

Rhodies set their flower buds for the coming spring in late summer and early fall. Adequate watering during this period is critical for proper bud set. Other reasons they may not bloom is cold damage, too young a plant or not yet established, too much fertilizer, pruning hard at the wrong time or not enough light. But as noted, 4 hours should be sufficient for just about any type.

That is from way too far away to be able to see anything in detail. Close ups needed of whatever lumps or bumps concern you.

Yeah, the sun shining on the leaves does not let me "see". I do detect a few leaves where things look a shade of lighter green on the upper rightmost corner but who knows, that may be due to drinking way too much coffee today or forgetting to put on my eyeglasses again. ;o)) Ha!

On the bottom left corner, I saw one partially browned leaf and then maybe some others that had a little bit of yellow from the distance. I could not tell more.

But the plant looks to be in great shape when looked from afar so feel good about that!!! A few leaf problems here or there is normal in a typical garden.
