Post construction cleaning—can a regular cleaner do this?

Getting ready to move back in and lined up a cleaner I used previously. Then someone recommended that I use a service that specializes in post-construction clean up. is this necessary? The house is empty, walls will be freshly painted and the last worker is the hardwood floor guy doing the final finish coat. My “regular” cleaner says she’s done move-ins and beyond typical cleaning, she will wipe down everything, cabinets inside and out. Etc etc We did not discuss vaccuuming the HVAC. i can add that. Is there anything else I should mention to her? When I talked to the specialist cleaner he said they vac furniture, take out screens and wash them, and other things I don’t think I need. (windows are new; screens not installed yet). This specialist cleaner was speaking in general terms and offered to come over to give a specific bid. But I don’t want to dump my regular cleaner with less than two weeks notice. Any thoughts or advice??? Thanks!

If your cleaner says they are comfortable and you like working with them I would do that. Only you know how dirty the house is currently- you make it sound like it’s fairly clean and you haven’t moved in so it seems pretty straightforward.

Because of the massive amount of construction dust, we have always used specialty cleaners. Walls wiped, windows cleaned. The list of items needing to be cleaned is extensive. It would take one person days. And a ladder.

My regular house cleaner has done an amazing job. I just finished cleaning after out remodel, it took a few week between unloading boxes vacuuming furniture etc. but it's finally done! I have been baking all day long today..... I missed my kitchen so much!!!

We've always been out of money at the end of construction projects and just do it ourselves. Not rocket surgery. Anyone who knows how to push a broom should be able to handle it (NB -- it's amazing how many people have no idea how to use a broom! It can be painfully comical to watch as the dirt is endlessly redistributed rather than collected up.)

IMO if you trust your regualr cleaner that is who I would get. BTW the HVAC needs professional cleaners to do after construction a regular vacuum will not do the job.
