Due to water damage my sand painted ceiling is peeling and needs repair. The blueboard specialist came by and said he would put 3/8 “ board up and put a skim coat of plaster on top. This is an 200 year old House with plaster and lathe construction. My question is wondering if we can just repaint to repair using the sand painting technique? Should I talking to a painter instead?
