Hi everyone!

This is our first fiddle leaf fig experience and we’re a little worried about its current state. Some background info - we bought it from a local nursery (we live in S. Florida) about 3 weeks ago. It was mature and had been living outside for some time under a screened-in area. We brought it indoors, put it by the light, and kept it in the growing pot. We did some research on how to care for it, and we got concerned about potential root rot. So, we decided to re-pot it in a slightly bigger pot about 2 weeks after bringing it home, with a layer of rocks at the bottom, and moisture control soil. When we re-potted it, we cut off some of the roots we thought were a potential problem and took off as much old soil as possible that seemed overly wet. We also cut off a few of the bottom leaves that were getting brown spots. Prior to doing this, the tree had some brown spots here and there, but there appears to be continued spots now a week after the re-potting. We have not watered the tree since the re-potting since we had used the hose to remove the old soil and it got highly drenched during this process. At this point, we’re at a loss for what the tree needs...does it need time to heal from all the trauma, does it need some treatment, does it need an anti-fungal/bacterial treatment? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
