I have a well only for my sprinkler system and I have an Intermatic mechanical controller. City water is used for the house only.
I have 6 zones.
My sprinklers seem to only work intermittently.
3 weeks ago, half of my zones worked perfectly (in Auto mode) and the other just trickled water out of every head when on.
I keep messing with them. When I switch the controller to Permanent On instead of Auto, other zones start working but it only allows 1 to 2 zones to work a day then it goes back to trickling water out of every head again.
I do this a few times on different days and always get a new zone to work.
All 6 of them work, they just won't all work one after the other like they should.
So, all of the heads work and there seems to be no leaks.
The irrigation guy came out and now wants to dig up my well because he says there us not enough pressure.
How can there not be enough pressure when they work fine when they decide to come on?
Any help is appreciated before I drop $800 letting this guy dig up my yard.
