Among other items, our needlework group has been making twiddlemuffs a.k.a. sensory sleeves for dementia or Alzheimer’s patients for about three years. We donate them to the Memory Center at a local hospital and hospice groups.

After 65 years of knitting, crocheting, and embroidwry, I have never enjoyed making anything as much as these. Every one is different and it’s a great way to use up yarn scraps and notions.
