Yay! It posted for you! Joan does look very white for you - nothing like what I recall. I often wonder if I was sent the wrong plant. No More Tears looks like a perfect pink. Orange Jade does keep its color well - the slugs ate mine to death three years ago. I suspect they'd been feeding on it for years. My favorite pic is the combo bouquet. Of course I'm a bit biased since Dearest Valentine is there looking as vibrant as the hot colors. The climbing lavender is very pretty too!

Joan Senior has been in my garden since forever. Although I notice it I rarely photograph it. But it is a good white. Funny picture of Wayside Guppy Gums! That orange is indeed orange! The combo is very pretty. Do your daylilies in this area get full sun!

That is exactly the way my Joan looks, the whitest I have seen anywhere. Not Fancy, but reliable and white. Dearest Valentine looks lovely. I too love orange, so I love everyone of them including your double. I really like Orange Jade. Message me if you want Faye Shooter's address.

Pretty pic of No More Tears. Do you grow Half Moon Key? It is the reverse cross of No More Tears. They do look alike as I have both. Orange Jade has a wonderful hot color look. All 3 of those daylilies in the last pic grown in pots?

Great photos! I grow Joan Senior too, a great plant and always creamy near-white (full sun).

Melle: Joan Senior from a distance looks pure white, but if you put it alongside a white Penta, Calibrachoa, Zinnia or such you can see that it's not the standard bedding plant white color. For a daylily though it's pretty amazing...............Julia: Half Moon Key is a pretty one. I'll keep it in mind. Yes on the pots. 95% of my daylilies are grown in pots. Our soil is horrible clay............Kay: Thanks for the offer on Faye's address. I think she's on her own since Johns death a few years back with little to no help. Not faulting her products or delivery, I just couldn't connect with her to talk about placing an order.............Kate you and I both kind of ignore Joan Senior. She's just so darned reliable. Like everyone else, my daylilies are scattered around. Some get full sun (Wayah Valley for instance), and some get sun until mid to late afternoon.......Nan: I really like the color on No Way Jose. It's not the most vigorous daylily I grow, but we all have ones we grow just because they are so darned pretty.........Debra: I showed a picture of Dearest Valentine to one of my rose friends in California. She thought it was beautiful, and when I told her one of my daylily friends was the hybridizer this is what she said in part: " Honestly, I am constantly in awe of people who create things". To think where you started and how far you've come is amazing. Our slugs have been ghastly this year with all this rain. I've even found a couple in the house that must have come in with some pots. EEEEEK. Not something you want to discover in the middle of the night with your bare feet.............Maryl

Maryl - I think I may be going senile. When I said slugs had devoured my Orange Jade, I meant grubs. I have so many pests to deal with, I can't keep them straight any more. LOL In any case, your slugs sound more plentiful than mine this year.
