today was overcast with intermittent rain..I didn't work outside..these pics are focused on my hydrangeas..I took an inventory..total of my 4 types 66! 😄..41 are arborescens..a dozen of those are volunteers..I would've taken hosta pics too but the rain squashed my photography..still need to move Clausas!..our pet Chewy..I'm sure he chewed my canna 😥..pics below..

a little while ago from my family room window..my husband went out a gave him? a 3rd serving of nuts..

liquidfeet..my 3 long term (until death) childhood pets (2 cats, 1 dog) were all males..it's a habit..I'll Google pics and try to look at their privates 😂..I agree with your ID..I looked it up years ago..

jan..we all agree about the ID..when I looked it up just now it said they like oak, hickory and walnut trees..I have oaks and hickories in front AND back and my neighbor has walnuts..no wonder they stay here..

Beautiful! I wish I could grow hydrangeas. I planted seven of them several years ago. The deer eat them and kill them in the win,ter. I saved two of them but have to fence them in the winter. a real PIA you don't have deer?

old_dirt..thank you!..the park within walking distance had a deer hunt..it helped me a lot!..Google Eagle Creek Park Indianapolis..my paniculata hydrangeas are sad..not enough sun to bloom well..I leave them for screening..when I moved in (05) we had giant trees and ground level plants (a few hostas, perennials and groundcovers)..I changed it!..

That’s a beautiful squirrel...I have never seen one with that colouration. We have lots of squirrels,either totally black, grey with white belly, and an occasional black with a rusty tail. Yours looks very classy! And photogenic! (Hydrangeas are nice too!)

Speaking up for all the forgotten female squirrels out there.... could it have been a she?

Also, it looks like she might have been an Eastern Fox Squirrel.

Love the garden shots and that is one cute squirrel too. I only have the gray ones, but they are cute too. My hydrangeas aren’t even close to flowering. Yours look so full and spread out.

debra..thanks!..I have more hostas than anything..then these hydrangeas might be second..hydrangeas give me joy..there's not many blooms in a woodland and I really enjoy them..my paniculatas don't have nearly enough sun..all of mine together have fewer blooms than your one tree does..that squirrel is cute, funny and aggravating at the same time..our garage doors (big one and the back door) were open..I look down to slip on my garden shoes and Chewy is laying on the floor next to them..I keep them by the door that goes into the house..it's like he was sitting there waiting for me to come out..hope you're getting better..
