What is the measurement from the slab backsplash to the front edge of the countertop?

I would opt for a different backsplash for safety reasons. That being said, my range has a front handle and it sticks out 5" from the front of my counters. It looks and operates fine.

Agree with getting a different backsplash - Quartz is not heat safe and will most likely burn. I've seen a lot of burned quartz backsplashes on these very pages.

There are a number of manufacturers of quartz countertops showing the use a quartz as a range backsplash (example). The chassis of the GE Profile PHS930SLSS is 25-7/8" deep so perhaps only the oven door and handle would protrude beyond the adjacent cabinets, an installation which is very common as many ranges have vents along the sides of the door.

The counters are 25.5" deep to the wall and 24.25" to the backsplash. I found a photo of the gas version (the same dimensions) and it sticks out beyond the door, maybe an inch. Since it is an electric range we won't have a flame and I don't expect it to get to 300 F....if it does we are back to where we started anyway :( Thank you!!!!

Do check the manufacturer's instructions for installation. If the oven vents in the back, it might discolor the slab. (I think you'll be fine with the burners on an induction setup, though.) (On the other hand, I did start a fire on my induction cooktop, but you won't do that.)

When we replaced our old gas range, the manufacturers had switched from a side connection to a rear connection, so we had to move the range about 3” forward. Once we dealt with the gap in the counter, it never bothered us.
