How Can I Clean Old Vine Marks from Acid Stained Concrete?

last modified: 5 years ago

I have an acid stained concrete bench that sat in ivy for five years and is now covered with ivy pieces. I have tried everything to get this off. Soap and brush do nothing. Ammonia mixed 1 to 8 with water gets maybe 15% of it off, but even that might be an illusion because the bleach just softens the color of the vine pieces. I can try more abrasive brushes, but I worry about the permanent destruction of the acid stain coating on the concrete. Is there a simple trick to getting old ivy marks to come off of concrete?
