Venting portable ac

I bout s 4 aluminum dryer vent the kind that does not bend and a 5 in adapter conected it to my ac and put it out my wall , is this safe as the vent seems to get hot , what im holding is what its conected to just an extra one

Dryer exhaust during normal operation of the appliance is typically 155°F to 165°F on a high temperature setting ... so the vent duct material is able to handle temperatures higher than that for a safety allowance.

Air conditioners don't create cold, they move heat. They cool a room by collecting heat from inside (via the evaporator coil) and moving it outside (via the condensor coil). So yes, the exhaust air of your portable air conditioner unit will be appreciably warm or even a bit hot, it also includes some waste heat from the compressor's operation.

This is also why single-hose portable units aren't efficient. Indoor air that you've paid to cool via cost of electricity is being used to blow the collected condensor heat outside.

Also wondering if the aluminum is ok to get hot i have birds and cant have any fumes like teflon fumes kill this is not teflon i no and its being funneled outside so safe

Yes its poor cooling it strugles to keep at 78 on high i didnt get the double

hose because sometimes neighbors bbq and i figured that a double hose can possibly draw that air in. ?

The in/out airflow for a double-hose unit is intended to be a closed loop ... pull air from outside in across the condensor, blow it back outside. How much outdoor air leaks into the room depends on how tight is the machine's construction. I have no direct experience with them.

Its a window unit brand new yea i no sounds crazy but i was gettin bbq smell inside my room! I even cauked my windows right now they cant be open ! I think my best bet is to unseal a window and try and make the window unit air tight
