Tuesday's blooms

We finally got some rain that we needed badly. I don't know how much we got, but Bob and I were in the sales bed about 7 last night trying to do some last minute weeding before the inspector came today when the storm rolled in. It rained the rest of the evening. The temperatures are cooler today. Lots of nice flowers are blooming today.

I really like Hey Soul Sister. She was displaying some of those smoky tones she has.

Man-eater started blooming. I just wish it would set seeds.

I am liking Pink Stripes. This is its first year to bloom for us.

Ruby Spider was putting out some huge blooms today.

I am not sure of the name of this one. It was supposed to be Bernadini. We need to ask the hybridizer. it is a huge bloom.

Love All Serve All was looking better today.

I can't get over how big and how deeply colored the flowers on Rosie Cotton's Ribbons have been.

We were delighted to see this seedling bloom in the garden today. Years ago we had marked this as a possible introduction. But then, for some reason, it went into a decline. It might have been vole damage, but who knows. We moved it (actually lined out the clump) and today it gave us these blooms. It is Belle of Ashwood X Gypsy Rose.

This is the seedling Queen today. We really like the color on Burgundy Eye Shadow X Heavenly Tiger Tails. It is short, but it was just moved last year. I hope it gains some height.

This is a small flowered tet. It is Little Red Bantam X Heavenly Pink Fang.

My favorite of the registered ones is Rosie Cotton's Ribbons. It does have great color in that photo. I always like Hey Soul Sister not only because of the smoky purple bloom but also the name of a Train song I really love. The seedling queen is very dramatic with that big dark eye, and the small seedling has terrific color!

Rosie Cotton's Ribbons is what is calling to me, and of your seedlings, all nice, but maybe I prefer the Belle of Ashewood seedling

Nancy, Hey Soul Sister looks like a nice dark one. As to the seedlings, The first one is my favorite. I hope it really revives and you can register it. The seedling queen today is also very nice. The thing that draws me to it are the colors. Many purples with a dark eye have such a pale or washed out looking petal color. It has a good rich color with the dark eye. That's one of the reasons I like Belle Isle Sentry so much: it fits that category.

I like Hey Soul Sister, The Bernidini and Pink Stripes. I really like both of the first ten seedlings...Love the colors on the second one.

Rosie's Cotton Ribbons has such pretty color. I like the Belle of Ashwood seedling but the Queen really has great color also. Very nice.

I like all your seedings. Although it's not my usual full figure daylily, I like the Burgandy Eye Shadow x because of the color and deeper markings on the petal.......Rosie Cotton's Ribbons is a beauty isn't she................Maryl
