Bittersweet Holiday

Christmas Day, last year here.

Claws. I bought this about 10 years ago, gave half to a friend and kept half. The friend does nothing for hers and her clump is always tall. Mine is always short.

Daveo Holeman, always mega short with a huge bloom.

I was going to pick Bittersweet Holiiday as my favorite, but then I saw the Hot Wheels clump. Wow! That is a stunner of a clump!

Yep, Hot Wheels is definitely showing off today, that’s glorious! Christmas Day is such a gorgeous red, Why is it leaving your garden? I like your lavender noid, You showed us it recently, great color.

What a clump of Hot Wheels! I think that takes the clump award so far. Just spectacular! I like the color on your noid. Daveo Holman never performed well for me-had it for years-voles ate it-I said Bon Appetit to them!

Wow! Hot Wheels is a great clump! Christmas Day is a beautiful red. I like Bittersweet Holiday too, and Do the Twist is my kind of flower.

Your NOID reminds me of PASTURES OF PLEASURE. I used to grow it and it looked a lot like your picture.

The purple noid is actually not as purple as the picture, more of a mauve. And David, I have Pastures of Pleasure.

Kate, Daveo Holeman doesn't do well, so it is actually planted by itself next to the fencing for our trash can by the road. If it blooms, it is a bonus as it is so pretty. That is the curb in front of it.

Christmas Day is one of those choices made because I have too many reds of this plain style. It goes because it blooms quickly and is gone in a couple weeks even if it has lots of blooms. Also it is a bit orangy compared to ones like Kent's Favorite Two or Red Volunteer, and not sun tolerant. The bloom I posted is an exceptional one from earlier in the day. It also opens late in the morning.

Pony is so pretty

Strawberry Candy actually started a couple of days ago, but I didn't notice. I rarely notice it., as it is surrounded by favorites.

Another WOW for Hot Wheels! what a clump. Daveo H has never done much here, not much growth, not much bloom, and always extra short. It is leaving.

I'll second what everyone said about Hot Wheels. That is one beautiful clump! I also like Bittersweet Holiday.
