ebay as Fori says or antique stores -- many have a lot of prisms for sale . . . when one can get out and about that is!

You don't have to "get out" to shop ebay....just sayin' It's a great way to get your quarantine shopping in....of course I haven't done anything like that......

Linda -- I know -- but you do to go to antique stores and often (at least here), most antique shops/flea markets/antique malls have a box of prisms and usually they are really cheap -- much cheaper than ebay (and no postage!)

It's fine....you don't need an excuse to go antique shopping. I know of someone who was just getting interested in antiques and got flustered when a shop owner would ask her "what are you looking for"...so a friend told her to tell them she was looking for Pomona goblets, and when they said they didn't have any she said that she would just look around. That was fine until she found a shop that DID have a Pomona goblet....so she had to buy it of course, and eventually she had a set of 6 Pomona goblets. so I will understand if you want to go to every antiques store and junk shop looking for the exact match to the missing prisms on your lamp....never can tell what else you may find!

Antiques shops here are more and more becoming junk shops, with garage sales stuff and a distinct lack of nice glass and china and lots of advertising signs from 1960 and general junk(que).

Back when I was looking for things I always said I would know it when I see it. Owners knew I was just looking.

Linda -- sometimes the ebay gods do smile on one! I have one prism on a lamp that I broke and I can't tell you how long it's been that I've been searching for that one! NEVER have I found it (and I would buy a few more if they came in a bunch and was reasonably priced -- so it's not liked I found 4 but only needed one)

I love it! It must look beautiful lit up at night! Do any of you only use incandescent bulbs in your lamps? I do for the most part but recently used a 25 watt led in an old floor lamp and it worked out well. I remember the old fluorescents would wash away all color in glass and cloth shade. By the way, I am a sucker for an old lamp! Most of the lamps in my home are old and some have been passed down to me.
