Finally some rain and some blooms

Had a much needed rain shower early this morning And torrential rain a bit later, 1 3/4” in an hour. I snapped a few photos between the rains of my first bloomers. Here is one more of Spectral Elegance.

Purple Maze was added in late summer of 2018. I believe it’s an evergreen, it’s planted close to the foundation of my house. I’m really pleased with its performance so far.

Happy Happy was added late summer 2018, I’m Also really pleased with this one, it came from California Along with Purple Maze. I got a triple bloom first of the season yesterday, could only fit two in the photo.

More rain spotted blooms From Fernstone today.

Also from this morning, first bloom on Stephanie Returns.

First bloom ever here on Quasar Cutie. Tall scapes and 4” flower, nice to have another early one in the garden. Caught it after the first shower today.

Peanuts Sunrise was added this spring,had a few blooms. They are smaller than stats but I know I have the right plant and I think I will like it.

Eenie Weenie had first blooms yesterday.

I think Quasar Cutie is my favorite of these, with Peanut's Sunrise close behind. Purple Maze is a nice one, and Happy Happy is looking good. Did Happy Happy overwinter OK for you. Mine has never fully recovered from winter three years ago.

Nice blooms. I have always liked Purple Maze, and quite liking Quasar Cutie. I don't care for small flowers, but some just get the color right

Quasar Cutie is indeed cute! I also like Stephanie Returns. How does Purple Maze do for you? We were growing I Don't Kid and Purple Maze (they look quite similar), but neither did very well for us. In fact, we got rid of I Don't Kid and keep Purple Maze. It has been very slow to establish.

Nancy, Purple Maze is only on its second full season here. I am really happy with it so far. It’s growing close to the foundation of my house, keeping the ground warmer in winter. It added a fan and another scape this spring. Blooms hold up well in the sun and rain.

Debra, Happy Happy is on it s second full season, it added another fan, 3 now, and each fan has a scape. It is close to the foundation of my home, warmer ground in winter. I’m really happy with it so far. It got through two winters.

I always remember Stephanie Returns from your posts. It is one that seems to like its space! Quasar Cutie has pretty color. Peanuts Sunrise may be smaller than stats but it is large in looks!

I like Eenie Weenie. One of the first daylilies I grew in a pot. I put it in the ground, but it looked lost in the other plants, so I put it back in a pot on my outdoor table. Had it for many many years and shared it with lots of visitors........I like Quasar Cutie too. I can see the blue in the pattern......I was this close to getting Stephanie Returns. I think it was yours that I kept seeing year after year and liked so much. In the end, no room in the inn.

Nice group Sherry. Good color combination on Quasar Cutie. Glad your getting much needed rain. Looking forward to seeing more of your blooms.

Quasar Cutie is a pretty one, and I like Eenie Weenie too. Peanuts Sunrise is a nice one. Purple Maze is a good plant and that is a pretty bloom. funny how they love the rain, isn't it.?
