Doesn't matter if you don't sit out at the beach, it is really nice to look at.

I have two bumble bees and a lady bug from the stained glass artist. I'm keen to put them out back also. Originally I put them in the front but I don't see them much there.

This corner was originally a bush and some plants but I like it better as a rock garden and we disconnected the sprinkler system that went to it so as not to have water so close to the foundation. However it needed some color so I got the modern sculpture that you see in the center.

The artist is from Northglenn so I can easily get some more if I want a mini bee swarm somewhere. I think I need at least three bees for that and I only have two.

Yep, that is our yard back to the fence. We chose this house not for the house itself but because we loved the yard. The hardscape was there but the plantings are completely different than when we bought it a couple of decades ago.

Mmmm, it's a decent amount of light not the best but great for the price. Also, they don't last that long, maybe 4-6 hours but it's pretty to look at at sunset. Our complex hasn't fixed the outdoor lighting so, I wanted something.

Mmmm, I've been trying for two years to find the same wire-with-enamel-buttons garden sculpture that you have! One of the houses in our neighborhood has one and I love it. Can you tell me where you purchased it? Thanks!

Hi Rockiesfan, it was at the holiday craft fair at the Arvada high school. They set up outside and have tons of metal sculptures and different colors of these sculptures. Applewood arts craft fair is the name, I think. It is a chain and they have them in various locations but the vendors are different. I've seen the metal sculpture vendor there a few times but have not been since COVID.

My favorite non-plant garden features are a fountain made from a boulder with a hole drilled through it (which serves as a water fountain for birds, squirrels, and cats), and an 8x10 "she shed" my husband built which is my favorite garden muse. I enjoy taking pictures of it when things are in bloom, the lighting is just right, and/or the sky behind it looks interesting. Some of the serviceberry trees and shrubs around it are getting a little overgrown so it's just peeking out, but here's one with a double rainbow behind it.

One more non-plant feature I hope to add to the yard in the next month or so is a church bird house I found at a flea market last fall. My husband repaired some areas and I scraped the peeling paint and primed it, but still need to top it off with a coat or 2 of paint and get a pole to put it on. Here's a "before" picture of it at the flea market.

My father-in-law made me this squirrel picnic table for my birthday a couple of years ago and our "pet" squirrel took to it immediately. Even though she disappeared last summer (after visiting us regularly for many years), I've left the table in the same spot in memory of her. I was thinking maybe I should move it and plant something there this spring now that the area around it isn't a mess of sunflower seed shells all the time (this picture was right after we put down fresh mulch so it looked unusually nice and tidy), but I just can't bring myself to move it.

Eastautumn, love your squirrel table! But the squirrels drive me crazy, digging up all the hostas that I keep in pots on my deck (to protect them from the deer) and cutting down every single one of my gomphrena stems.
