A few on Saturday before the rain

The rain started about 11 here this morning. Bob and I had just enough time to visit the beds, but we didn't get any hybridizing done. We aren't complaining, though, because we needed the rain, which is continuing probably off and on all day.

Here are a few photos we got. It was a bad day for taking pictures as the skies were gray. Even the white paper trick didn't help on some.

Freewheelin' has been putting on a show this year.

After a mild winter, Barbara Watts is doing well.

Fiesta Latina is a brilliant color.

Four Beasts in One is showing a nice pattern today.

Jerry Hyatt was richly colored today.

Larry's Obsession looked good today.

Piece of the Action is a good grower. In fact, it is so good it is growing from one side of the bed to the other.

Bob was happy with this one. This comes out of his fulva breeding. It is (Fulva Korean X Empire of Dawn and Dusk) X Sonoran Desert Rose.

Roi de Navare had much better color today.

Tepin was planted in a spot where lots of weeds were growing, but it's looking better now.

I posted a picture of Zombie Dust the other day, but it wasn't showing any pattern. Today it is. I think this one is interesting.

Queen of the Garden is one I posted last season, but it never fails to delight. This is Sea of Cinders X Happy Holidays to You. It is actually a brighter red than the picture shows. I just couldn't get the camera to capture the real color.

Of course, Bob was happy with this one. It is Bass Gibson X Spirit of Halloween.

I like the eye on this one. It is Entering Warp Speed X Dr Jules Michael Vinkman.

We just play around with patterns, and thought this one was neat. It is Time in a Bottle X Four Beasts in One. This is its maiden bloom.

I like the fulva seedling, such a nice color. That maiden bloom with pattern is scrumptious!i also like Barbara Watts, such an interesting double. I can’t forget your seedling Queen, love it.

Free Wheeling sure looks good. I had Larry's Obsession briefly before it died, but it never really looked good. Splotchy a lot and some distorted blooms. Jerry Hyatt always seems to look good.

Love the queen today. Free Wheelin’ really is putting on a show. I still have Larry’s Obsession but, like Nancy’s, it splotches a lot. Yours looks good. Jerry Hyatt has pretty color.

That is a nice clump of Free Whelelin'. Mine never looked that good. I sent it packing to Florida last fall. Roi de Navare is my favorite of the registered ones. Your seedling queen and Bob's seedling queen both look excellent. I hope both of those have good plant habit and multiplying habits for you. I also very much like your patterened kid out of Time in a bottle. If I saw that in my seedling patch, I would be very excited. Great pattern, and I love the wide sepals on it.

Your seedlings are lovely, such a nice variety! I really like the Time in a Bottle X Four Beasts in One seedling, neat look to it.

Very nice group of seedlings. Hopefully, they are vigorous and hardy.
