Bedroom lighting

We don't have any overhead lighting in this room. The tall lamp to the right is currently being controlled by a switch but I'd like to replace with something above. What do you recommend that is relatively easy to install?

Also, any decor ideas for above the bed?

I'm sorry, but I don't recommend overhead lighting for a bedroom or a living room. That type of lighting doesn't do anyone any favors. Much better is a table lamp or sconce in each corner at chest height.

Are you planning to swag a ceiling light or do you have an electrical box there to install an overhead light?

You bedside tables are too small/low. You lamps are too low because of that. If you were sitting in bed reading your lighting would be below you.

Once you get that handled I would do 2-3 square art pieces of something you like above the bed .
