Keep a sharp eye on those plants. This little creep - one hornworm - completely decimated a lush, full green chiltepin plant in 24 hours or less. The plant looked fine this time yesterday. Now - not a leaf left on it. And it was 'protected' with a mesh covering. The moth must have laid her egg(s) before I covered the plant, which was two weeks ago because the birds were eating all the chilies. Gardening can be a real frustration. aarrrrgggghhhh.
