What is your favorite color?

Here's an idea for a feminine looking room . Start with curtains. Move the brackets about 6" out from the window trim. Make sure the total panels width is at least 2 1/2 times the windows width.

No picture ledge and no posters. Add color with pillows and a throw for the lucite chair. Choose art for over the bed in those colors. Curtains can be neutral or your accent color, whichever look you like better.

I tend to stay away from anything too feminine like floral, but I’m generally okay with any color. I do like pastel colors a lot.

I like these colors, but don’t know if it would make the room more dull

Find a rug, a lamp, pillows, a throw, and some art incorporating some of those colors. You’d be surprised what you turn up once you just get started.

Do you own this home or is it an apartment? I think you need something with some pizazz. I wouldn't get a rug you already have wall to wall. I would get some curtains that have some color to them so if not floral maybe ombre or paisley. Then pull a color from the curtains for accessories. Get a fur throw for the chair & a lumbar shape pillow. Get a throw for the bed & some pillows

Since you are looking for new drapes, I wouldn’t use sheers but something heavier and with more interest.

Also suggest a longer rod so drapery rests more on wall vs window and doesn’t look as skimpy

I think your headboard is too high to add art above - prints over nightstand Can be as attractive

If dresser and bed is exchanged, if other wall is longer, the bed could be centered and another nightstand added with prints over each one for balance and added impact
