My experience with my JuneS says it’s the sun exposure changing the color. I have several June hosta, the darker colors are on the plants with more shade.

I agree with sherry. The plants in more shade will have the darker shades of green and blue. I wonder about the last plant...... I wonder if anyone else thinks that looks like a Gold Standard?? Just crossed my mind because it is so yellow with such thin margins.

Here’s one of mine to compare. This one get a lot of sun. They can be a bit darker if they are in shade.

Debra, I didn't think that the last June looked like Gold Standard. The shape of the leaves is still June like to me.

GS has a much larger leaf .. when mature .. than june does ...

i think .. lol ...

and while i am at it.. thickness might be different ...

and another.. GS will go all the way to a parchment color.. im not sure J does ... or at least i never grew it that way .. i suppose its possible ...

Yes, the one I posted above goes to parchment in late summer.
