Back with some FFO's

I've been away from the forum but occasionally lurked with no time to comment. I've been working for my brother's construction business painting and landscaping. One day I put down 75 bags of mulch! Then mulched my own gardens that weekend. My brother jokes that I'm the Bionic Woman because my shoulder is made of metal from my accident....lol. I did enjoy all your posts and beautiful pictures. We've been experiencing a drought in New Hampshire so bud count this year is pathetic and all the daylilies are scaping at once, even many of the lates. I don't know if it's a combination of our mild winter plus the drought (& Covid restrictions.... they're social distancing) but the daylilies don't seem to be as grand this year.

Daylily season just barely started a few days ago. First out of the gate was Princess Syndrome, brand new from Judy Davisson: (some of you might have already seen my pics on the other forum). I've already frozen some of it's pollen.

Greeting me this morning was Wispy Rays....

Early Days lives up to it's name every year.....

One of my 14 grandchildren with me in front of this year's seedling bed....

Orangutan is always one of the first to bloom....

Marietta Warrior has always been a favorite and got some frozen Rose Kennedy pollen this morning.....hope it takes!

I always remember your Marietta Warrior. I think it's one of the prettiest ones in your garden, and that's saying something..........The Judy Davisson's lavender color in your area is beautiful...........I keep looking for your bulging biceps from throwing all that mulch around................Maryl

It’s great to hear from you, see you and a few blooms. Hopefully you find a bit more time for the forum. Princess Syndrome is a lovely new addition.

Or....instead of social distancing maybe they are wearing masks so they cannot bud!!!! Good to see you back! After that kind of physical labor every day, I don't think anyone could feel like posting at night. First, beautiful picture with grandchild. I cannot imagine 14!!! Next, beautiful Princess Syndrome-probably made even better by your purple soil. Love the colors. I always like to see Marietta Warrior. It has that big fat flat look I so like. Wispy Rays certainly greeted you with a bright face! Keep them coming when you have time. Expecting the purples, you know. And I so wish I could send you some of our rain. It rained every day last week, three days this week and more expected next week. I have already lost one and maybe two new lilies to rot from sitting in water underground. We never have just exactly what we need! Again, welcome back!

Princess Syndrome is gorgeous. I like Wispy Rays and Marietta Warrior too! Your seedling bed looks great, and your grandchild is a cutie.

Beautiful blooms, Celeste! And such a nice pic of you and your grandson. Princess Syndrome looks great - definitely not my type of bloom, but I like the looks of it. I have been wondering how you were doing... and how your RFK is doing too :) We've been very dry and hot here, and that will continue for at least another week. It's definitely going to be an underwhelming bloom season for me. I am looking forward to seeing all your seedlings this season!

Wow you sure work a lot! :) Same thing here with all scaping at once, all my lates have scapes already and some (maybe more like MLs) will start blooming soon.

Beautiful flowers! Such pretty coloration on Princess Syndrome. Love Wispy Rays and Early Days.

Great pic of you with your grandson and seedling bed. So many, some look so big already, so exciting!!

I really like the picture of you and your grandson! Princess Syndrome is lovely. I feel like I saw Marietta Warrior in person somewhere and was amazed at its size-am I dreaming? It is really as large as I feel it is?

I am seeing scapes and a few blooms on the plants I got from you this spring!
